Marie von Essen

Essen, Marie von, Mezzosopran, * ? (Detroit?), † (?); she was American (her real name was Mary Kent), but her career was mainly in Europe (Dresden particularly). She sang the 1930-31 season with Gadski German Grand Opera Company and the following season at the MET.
