; she studied at Munich Hochschule für Theater und Musik. She completed her vocal skills by private studies with Josef Metternich and Wolfgang Brendel.

Renate Düerkop debuted at Munich Staatsoper as Shoemaker´s wife in "Die wundersame Schustersfrau" by U. Zimmermann.

As dramatic soprano Renate Düerkop became a member of the ensembles of Pforzheim-Theater, Pfalz-Theater Kaiserslautern and of the opera-house Halle / Saale. Renate Düerkop actually works as a freelanced singer. She also earns attention as a concert- and Lieder-singer.
