Hoiles, Pamela *(?) in Lawton, Oklahoma (USA) and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ms. Hoiles attended Occidental College and graduated as a Drama Major. While there, she was a three-year member of the summer theater, recreating the roles of Pitti Sing in The Mikado, Mrs.Trapes in The Beggar's Opera and The Shoe Lace Peddler in The Mad Woman of Chaillot. During a year's stay in Rome, Ms. Hoiles studied with the eminent vocal coach, Maria Theresa Pediconi of the St.Cecilia Academy. Settling in Lima, Ohio, she starred as Jenny in the Lima Symphony Orchestra's Production of Kurt Weill's Three Penny Opera and appeared as a soloist with the Lima Symphony Orchestra. In other performances there she played the roles of Frau Schneider in Cabaret, Adelein in Die Fledermaus, Cordelia in King Lear, and Tiffany in Mary, Mary. While living in Lima, she also studied voice with Mme. Lucille Evans of the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati. Ms. Hoiles also portrayed Donna Elvira in the Cincinnati production of Mozart's Don Giovanni. Frequent moves to various parts of the country found Ms. Hoiles in Brownsville, Texas starring as Anna in The King and I and in a Cargille production. In New Bern, North Carolina, she appeared in another Cargille production, as a recitalist and participated with the U.S. Marine Corps in renovating the local community theater. She has been soloist in several Christian Science Churches around the country. In Connecticut, Ms. Hoiles appeared in many productions: Fairfield University's production of A, My Name is Alice; the Theater of Connecticut's Some Enchanted Evening; soloist with Weston's Musically Inclined and the Derma Clinic's opening in Westport; in Connecticut's Broadway Theater as Aunt Eller in Oklahoma; and Mrs. Peashum in The Three Penny Opera at Sacred Heart University. Ms. Hoiles returned to Colorado Springs as guest soloist in America, The Beautiful and appeared in two different Americana programs. In November of 1993, she performed Wagner's Wesendonk Lieder and Liebestod from Tristan und Isolde with the Lima
Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Hoiles was a Kenly Player in the Ohio production of the 1956 version of The Student Prince that starred Jerome Hines. She performed Nettie in the Dorset Playhouse production of Carousel and the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music. In 1997, Ms. Hoiles gave recitals of works by Schumann and the Bridal Scene from Wagner's Lohengrin with tenor Charles Walker of New York in performances at the Southern Vermont Art Center, as well as in Connecticut and New York. In 1998, Ms. Hoiles introduced Wagner's Wesendonk Lieder to Poland in a concert with the Capella Cracoviensis Chamber Orchestra. In 1999, Ms. Hoiles presented a program of Debussy, Ravel and Chausson in Vermont, and in Warsaw & Cracow with members of the Capella Cracoviensis Chamber Orchestra. In May of 2000, Ms. Hoiles sang five Strauss songs and Wagner's Liebestod in Budapest with the Hungarian National Orchestra. Most recently, Ms. Hoiles toured Russia singing the Chausson Poeme de L'amour and de La Mer in June 2001. Ms. Hoiles makes her residence in Manchester Center, Vermont and Manhattan, New York .
